Our continued success depends on it Responsible for designing computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Voice networks, and other data/voice communications systems. Creates, tests, and evaluates networks for optimum performance in support of ongoing and future business needs. Works closely with Insulet Information Security Officer to build and maintain a secure computing environment focused on information security and data protection. Responsibilities Network Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework. Proactive management, monitoring, troubleshooting and technical analysis of the local area network. Develop data and voice technology roadmaps. Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. Design networks in support of disaster recovery and BCP initiatives. Evaluates and recommends changes to meet current and future business and regulatory compliance needs. Be a project manager on IT projects as needed, work closely with the Sr. Director Global Infrastructure/ISO and other departments to meet goals and objectives. Stay abreast of how network infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors. Security Evaluate, define and advise the organization on information security methods as well as infrastructure and security best practices. Maintain continued awareness of new and persistent threats, evaluate potential impact to corporate infrastructure and recommend potential solutions to mitigate. Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices. Recommend and implement policies and procedures to safeguard company and customers’. Conduct threat / risk assessments to the IT systems of Insulet Corporation, document results and recommend measures to mitigate identified risks. Research, design and implementation of network-related Technology initiatives including Intrusion detection systems, server load balancing, and security best practices / audits, and disaster recovery scenarios. Prepares and presents system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Performs other duties as required. Minimum Requirements CCNA Certification Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ years related work experience. Preferred Skills/Competencies Must be able to set up computer hardware and workstations. Physical Requirements Lift and transfer up to 30 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
