Ets Technical Leader

Project technical responsible for the ETS product scope giving support to the Project Manager for main activities as: Functional Design development, planning of engineering resources for the project, Bill of Materials approval, technical documentation review to be approved for construction, coordination of testing activities FAT & SAT and responsible for closing deviations prior to deliveries to customer.ETS portafolio include Emerson SCADA, TAS Software, RTU, Flow computers, Software for pipeline transport systems.The Technical Leader should be a self-starter willing to delve into existing problems/questionnaires from external customers as well as internal customers.This position includes fundamental product analysis and design, source code development, and project driven development.**Responsibilities**:- Responsible to deliver on time a quality product that meets customer requirements and specifications with the efficient use of resources, following the PMO guidelines and local standards.- Plans the activities of each engineering resource assigned to a given project according to project schedule agreed during the internal kick off meeting, making sure with Project Planner that the Clarity tasks are available to be used by each resource.- Confirms the project scope and its deliverables regarding the Control System and request any additional information or clarification needed to fulfill the contractual scope of the project.- Obtains the written approval from the customer of the Functional Design Specification and its associated documentation needed to release material procurement and trigger activities such as configuration and cabinet assembly.- Delivers monthly to the Engineering Coordinator a resource forecast that will be needed to execute scheduled activities in the projects where he is involved.- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams.- Give directions to project team in systems bugs, system installation and field start-ups.- Demonstrated team-lead experience: managing the work products of others, creating estimates/WBS, ensuring quality.- Coordinate with other project managers and upper management to ensure a uniform approach to accomplishment of the assigned projects.- Assists in reviewing scopes of work for completeness.And estimating time to complete proposed scopes of work.- Communicate good working/engineering practices with other members of the Company.- Provide regular update on progress and issues to the line manager on assigned engineering and support activities.- Reporting security incidents, potential incidents, or other information security risks to RAS.- Adhere to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance procedures about all transactions and business practices.- Adhere to Emerson Ethics, Anti-Harassment and FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) Principles and Procedures.**Experience**:- 6+ years as project or service engineer configuring control systems / safety systems, PLCs, Human-Machine Interfaces, field instrumentation or process control communication protocols.- Desirable experience in field activities as part of a process automation projects.- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several concrete variables.**Education**:Bachelor degree in Electronics, Communications, Control, Software engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Systems, Mechatronics, Mechanics, Robotics, Chemical or similar.English: Intermediate / Advanced**Preferred Qualifications**- Working knowledge of Terminal Automation Systems, Measurement and Control Systems.- Working knowledge of API tables in Oil and Gas, Chemical Industries.- Working knowledge of Electronic presets, Flow Computers, Meters and Values.- Working knowledge of SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems.- Administration experience in SQL Server **** or later.Understanding of SQL, stored procedure design and database performance optimization (table indexing, query optimization, etc.).- Administration experience in MS Windows Server **** or later.- Experience with Business Intelligence and report designing tools such as Crystal Reports and/or Microsoft SSRS.Comfortable adapting existing experience to new environments.- Ability to effectively communicate with the clients and team members (oral, written & visual).- Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills preferred.- Attention to detail and exemplary organizational skills preferred.- Intermediate to Expert in MS Excel, MS Word preferred.- Good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen to help the team capture, e
