OverviewAt Steam Power we are used to change and have been continuously adapting to respond to the many factors shaping our industry.Change is how we keep pace with the world around us and ensure our long-term sustainability.To achieve this requires us adopting a strong services mindset that becomes the very DNA of Steam Power.As a result, we have become more of a services organization.We believe our success in large part will depend on us being as diverse of a team as our customers and regardless of our role, every one of us can contribute to making Steam Power the service provider of choice by customers around the globe.The Lead Sourcing Analyst / Buyer is responsible for collecting and examining data for execution of Sourcing related activities to support the business operations through running reports, data analysis, and engagement with important stakeholders to ensure business priorities are met.In addition, this role will also be an active Buyer for Projects and Parts as needed.Examples: Supplier / Commodity management, identifying opportunities for new sources of supply and cost-out initiatives.The ability to collaborate cross-functionally with the Sourcing Team and with internal stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, is essential.This individual will be responsible for Key Performance Indicators that drive and define Sourcing success and must have the necessary skill set to positively impact these metrics.The Lead Sourcing Analyst / Buyer must be able to define and report strategies for various commodities and Suppliers while having a Lean mindset with a focus on process improvement.This role will be responsible for new supplier onboarding and qualification and will contribute to sourcing savings goals and finance targets.ResponsibilitiesManage supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and contractual terms and implement framework agreements with key suppliers, using contract templates in collaboration with Corporate Counsel.Issue purchase orders for components and actively support the full lifecycle of multiple orders simultaneously.Improve key performance metrics for the Americas region such as on-time delivery, savings against budget, year-over-year deflation, payment terms, cost of failure and product cost-out during the tendering phase.Work proactively with the Tendering team to recommend the right suppliers with the most optimal commercial conditions, meet the proposal's delivery requirement to the customer and manage cost-out negotiations as per customers' target.Coordinate supplier selection, development, and supplier categorization to ensure sourcing optimization, overall supplier performance and build long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers.Effectively collaborate with global Project and Parts teams and strategic sourcing colleagues to interpret requirements, define, develop, and implement sourcing and procurement strategies to further enhance business performance and outcomes.Active management of the procure-to-pay process and invoice resolution with internal and external stakeholders.Contribute meaningfully to a positive team-oriented culture that promotes Inclusion and Diversity along with a respectful work atmosphere.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years' experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management and tendering.Bachelor's degree in related areas desired.Advanced MS Office skills including Excel formulas, VLOOKUP and pivot table knowledge.Experience with SAP and Tableau.Fluent in English.Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to develop key internal and external relationships and influence at all levels.Ability to develop / execute multiple strategic sourcing initiatives simultaneously.Motivated, self-directed, and detail oriented.BenefitsThe Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.Healthcare benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage; access to a Health Coach, a 24/7 nurse-based resource; and access to the Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services.Retirement benefits include the GE Retirement Savings Plan, a tax-advantaged 401(k) savings opportunity with company matching contributions and company retirement contributions, as well as access to Fidelity resources and planning consultants.Other benefits include tuition assistance, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, disability insurance, life insurance, and paid time-off for vacation or illness.General Electric Company, Ropcor, Inc., their successors, and in some cases their affiliates, each sponsor certain employee benefit plans or programs.#J-*****-Ljbffr
