Job DescriptionVertiv is hiring an NPD Sourcing Engineer.As a member of the Americas Procurement Team, the person will lead the sourcing activities for an assigned Line of Business.This position will be the designated point of contact managing all sourcing activities related to new product introduction, product cost reductions, production transfers, supply chain design, and time to market.The role works closely with Engineering and Commodity teams to monitor critical prototype parts, determine e-Auctions opportunities, perform risk and resiliency assessments, and report status to agreed KPIs.Title: NPD Sourcing LeadResponsibilitiesManage all procurement deliverables as new products transition from ideation to pilot phase and into mass production with speed, quality, and performance that exceed customer expectations.Be an integral part of each engineering project team, ensuring parts are sourced from preferred suppliers, BOM and CapEx costs meet business needs, supply chain delivers market-ready products, dual sourcing is maximized, and material and supplier readiness aligns with key development milestones.Develop prototype strategy with engineering teams to enable quick turnaround on prototypes, analyzing tooling needs and costs for new products.Review supplier proposals and make recommendations; coordinate with regional and global procurement teams to mitigate supply risks.Own all purchase BOM cost reporting, track cost changes, and participate in new component reduction activities to stay below price targets.Host sourcing reviews for business-critical projects and ensure follow-up actions are addressed in a timely manner.Ensure procurement KPIs are correctly reported and drive improvements when they are not met; complete all procurement gate deliverables during new product development and provide the procurement vote on all relevant gate reviews.Lead or participate in all NPD / NPI review meetings as required and coordinate launch plans with EMS suppliers to meet project schedules.Other duties as assigned.SkillsSignificant supply chain and engineering background preferred, with experience in multiple disciplines (e.g., NPI, project management, industrialization).Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and bill of materials.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; team player within procurement and cross-functional teams.Clear understanding of supply chain and procurement processes and strategy, with awareness of Vertiv's marketplace and industry operations.Ability to build forward-thinking partnerships with suppliers and demonstrate leadership skills, especially in complex, international, cross-functional teams.Experience working within large matrixed teams or organizations; willingness to work across time zones.Ability to drive and accept change, continuous improvement processes.Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in MS Office, ERP, and PLM tools.Licenses / Certifications Preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional) and / or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Chain).QualificationsMinimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic), Supply Chain Operations and / or Business.Minimum Years Of Experience: 5–7 years of supply chain, engineering, or related experience.Travel Requirements15% travel.About the TeamWork Authorization: No calls or agencies please.Vert will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.This position does not sponsor visas.Applicants with temporary visas (E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, or TN) requiring sponsorship are not eligible.Equal Opportunity Employer : We promote equal opportunities for all with respect to hiring, terms of employment, mobility, training, compensation, and occupational health, without discrimination as to age, race, color, religion, creed, sex, pregnancy status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity / expression, genetic information, citizenship status, national origin, protected veteran status, political affiliation, or disability.#J-*****-Ljbffr
