At UEI you will be part of a world class team that is working to innovate and revolutionize the meaning of 'wireless control'.Whether it's via chips, software licenses or turnkey products, we are continuing to reinvent how consumers interact with devices and services in their home.Each day we make the connected home smarter, easier to connect and use, and more sustainable.We delight our Fortune 100 customers such as Comcast, Apple, Samsung, Google, Vivint and Daikin with ground breaking wireless technology solutions such as advanced, voice-enabled remote controls, cloud control solutions, extreme low power Bluetooth silicon with energy harvesting capabilities, smart thermostats and sensors and many other IoT solutions.DescriptionThe Quality System Engineer is responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), writing procedures and processes to support the QMS development.Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain.Provide training and champion the Quality Management System.Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and / or on completion by Quality Assurance Manager.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties listed below are intended only as examples of the various types of work that may be performed.The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.Key Responsibilities : General and Task ManagementOversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company, including any business accreditationsMaintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for businessAnalyze current and future procedural needs of the businessOrganize and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting systemConduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training / guidance to other internal auditorsHost external Quality System auditsProvide training on Quality issues and business processesCoordinate the review of Quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiativesPlan Standard Operating practices required under the overriding Quality proceduresMaintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documentsSupport other functional areas of the business including hr, procurement, production, ehs, finance, etc.,Lead and support Top management reviewAssist with training of quality awarenessReport on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or systemAttend various meetings and action / communicate instructionsPerform root cause analysis and resolve problemsResponsibilities for Integral management systemTo actively participate on Integral management system auditsFormal Education & CertificationBS in Engineering, advanced English.Knowledge & Experience5 years' experience ISO system management5 years ISO standards5 years implementing internal audits system, process, and productCompliance with legal requirements applicableDevelopment of procedures and documents controlManufacturing industryWork ConditionsPhysically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.We do appreciate your interest in our vacantKind regardsIsrael GonzalezRecruiting CoordinatorUniversal Electronics Inc.
