Suppliers Quality EngineerAt AAM, the POWER is in our people.We believe that an equitable and inclusive workplace benefits everyone, and that the diversity of our Associates drives creativity and innovation.Our global team is made of dreamers, doers and innovators who are Delivering POWER for a safer, brighter and more sustainable tomorrow.Job Description SummaryThe Suppliers Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchased components and materials from external suppliers, playing a critical role in maintaining El Carmen Manufacturing Facility's high product standards.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor supplier quality programs and processes to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and qualifications to evaluate quality systems, manufacturing capabilities, and overall performance.Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing teams to define quality requirements for new components and materials.Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, including non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventative measures.Manage the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of supplier quality problems.Monitor key supplier quality performance metrics, analyze data, and provide regular reports to management.Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality, reduce defects, and optimize costs.Participate in new product development projects to ensure supplier readiness and adherence to quality expectations.Maintain comprehensive records of supplier performance, audits, and quality related documentation.Job QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (e.G., Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or a related technical field.3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, with a strong focus on supplier quality management in a manufacturing environment.Proven experience conducting supplier audits and assessments (e.G., ISO ****, IATF *****).Strong understanding of quality methodologies and tools (e.G., FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, 8D problem-solving).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective supplier and internal team collaboration.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to travel to supplier sites as required.About AAMAs a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.Headquartered in Detroit with over 80 facilities in 18 countries, we are Bringing the Future Faster for a safer and more sustainable tomorrow.To learn more, visit AAM.Com.Why Join #TeamAAMAs a member of #TeamAAM, you'll get to make a difference on day one.From your first day with us, you'll have the opportunity to grow, embrace challenges, build your skills, and bring your authentic self to work every day, all while helping to shape the future of mobility for AAM...and the world.#J-*****-Ljbffr
