Our collaborators love their work for good reason—and you will too Procurament - Purchasing Agent This position is key to ensuring the efficient supply of all the resources necessary for the office's operations. You will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing cycle, from supplier selection and negotiation to the review of commercial contracts and regulatory compliance, including monitoring the REPSE registry. If you are motivated by optimizing processes, building strategic relationships, and ensuring compliance with standards, this opportunity is for you. Works with vendors to negotiate commercial terms. Identifies and develops strategies for cost savings/reductions. Prepares and maintains reports as necessary on items such as minority business sourcing. Implements, maintains and manages purchasing software and other ancillary systems/programs. Assists in the development or enhancement of purchasing policies and controls. Ensures compliance with established purchasing procedures. Mitigates company and/or client risk. Manages supplier performance. Administers the operation and continual improvement of the procurement system. May develop, arrange, organize, and conduct staff training or meetings for systems, policies and procedures. Coordinates and procures purchased items and services, and ensures purchasing procedures are followed. Develops new vendor sources. Conducts the selection and qualification of vendors. Assists in the negotiation of major capital and long‑term contracts in conjunction with requestor. Ensure compliance with REPSE requirements in accordance with government guidelines, as well as providing support and management to ensure contracts are executed correctly. Overseeing compliance with personal data protection and information security regulations, including policy implementation, updates and risk mitigation. Attention and monitoring of internal and external audits, as well as requests from authorities at all three levels of government (including REPSE). Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Business or related field. Three to five (3‑5) or more years of purchasing experience OR Associate's Degree with four (4) or more years of legal / Mexican commercial agreements experience, preferred. Proficient in use of prevailing office software. Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiating skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish languages, good communications skills in both required. Specific knowledge/experience Personal data management system. Preparation and management of Privacy Notices.
