Our culture believes in RAISING YOUR POTENTIAL.We offer global opportunities to develop your career, make your community a better place, and work with today's most innovative people looking to solve the toughest problems we face globally.We believe in flexibility so you can explore your passions while making an impact through meaningful work within our inclusive workforce.That's what #LifeAtCummins is all about.We are looking for a talented SUPPLIER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER - SENIOR to join our specialized MANUFACTURING SUPPLY team for our MANUFACTURING SUPPLY in Ciudad Juárez, CHIHUAHUA., MEXICO.In this role, you will have an impact in the following ways:- Responsible for supplier quality engagement in the selection, management, development, problem resolution and assurance of defect-free performance of the direct materials supplier chain.- The objective of this job is to collaborate with supplier and other resources at Cummins, leading the use of quality improvement tools and methods to achieve defect-free performance.- This function also uses knowledge in manufacturing technology and product definition and function to achieve this result.- Participates and guides supplier quality participation in supplier evaluation, selection, strategic sourcing and development processes.- Responsible for our most challenging supplier corrective actions, including containment, fault tree analysis/identification of assignable cause, root cause analysis, permanent corrective actions, and overall effectiveness of the resolution process.issues.- Ensures that suppliers select, use and adapt quality tools effectively for their industry and in accordance with our requirements, especially the advanced product quality planning process.- Collaborates and guides suppliers to understand and comply with all product requirements, including compliance with the Cummins Supplier Manual.- Reviews supplier quality resources for our most challenging introduction of new and existing products to reduce supplier-related issues, improve process capabilities, and ensure timely project launches.To be successful in this position, you will need the following:- Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanics, Metalworking or related- Position requirement: Backfill from Saul Rios Campos promoted to the JLC.- Bilingual (required).- Supplier corrective actions management.- Supplier management.- Incoming inspection plans.- Core tools knowledge (PPAP, FMEA, APQP, CPC, SPC, CPK).- AQL.- Internal/External Audits.- Monthly Supplier PPM report.- IATF *****:**** knowledge.- VDA 6.3 knowledge.- Root cause analysis skills.- Cleanliness requirements knowledge.**Job** QUALITY**Primary Location** Mexico-Chihuahua-Ciudad Juárez-Mexico, Juarez, Fuel Systems Business**Job Type** Experienced - Exempt / Office**Recruitment Job Type** Exempt - Experienced
