The Cost Manager is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports that will be reviewed and approved by the Plant Controller and/or Finance Director, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly inventory and PPV reports.
  • Prepare quarterly excess and obsolescence reports (accounting reserve).
  • Approve inventory adjustments due to discrepancies, engineering changes, obsolescence, among others.
  • Authorize the use of general ledger accounts for manual entries.
  • Provide support in the review of ECOs.
  • Prepare and analyze month-end journal entries.
  • Consolidate and explain financial information during month-end close.
  • Prepare and consolidate the annual standard cost.
  • Monitor and control manufacturing costs.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Oversee inventory adjustments and cycle counts (KFP).
  • Perform monthly indirect material adjustments.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, events, and training.
  • Promptly report unsafe conditions and acts, as well as incidents (injuries, spills, fires, or illnesses), regardless of severity.
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, preferably in manufacturing cost environments.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (able to hold conversations and write emails).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory, cost accounting, and finance.
  • Leadership.
  • Effective communication.
  • High level of ethics and compliance.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
