**Position Overview**
The individual will be part of our Global Index Products team and will play a direct role in driving the growth of MSCI's index franchise.
The Index Products Specialist will work closely with our senior Index Product leaders while collaboriating with other functional teams (e.g.
Fianance and Technology) and colleagues across all regions.
The role will have a particular focus on driving efficiencies and elevating our ability to make faster and better informed business decisions by leveraging business intelligence tools and data visualization technology.
This includes the design, development and management of dynamic visualization solutions such as Power BI dashboards to enable business users to easily understand trends, extract insights and make informed decisions.
To that end, the expectation is that the individual brings the necessary understanding of business analytics, front-end data reporting, and business intelligence tools to drive the creation of dynamic, digestable, and actionable reporting solutions.
**Scope of Responsibility/Expectation**
- Manipulate large amounts of data and use various tools to analyze, visualize, and present results, ultimately transforming raw data into easy-to-digest actionable insights that inform our decision-making.
- Work with key senior Index Product stakeholders to identify reporting needs that will inform the design and development of effective visualization and reporting solutions.
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the Index Products team as well as across other teams to identify synergies, process improvement opportunities and share best practices.
- Build a deep understanding of our index business and products to better identify and communicate within the Product team strategic and relevant information.
- From time to time, deliver clear and effective presentations to senior executives relating to key metrics and business trends.
- From time to time, conduct sessions for training users or for seeking their input with regards to new dashboards and reports.
- Work on ad-hoc queries that may involve investigating and/or presenting particular business intelligence metrics or trends.

**Skills and Experience That Will Help you Excel**
- At least 5 years of professional experience that include +2 years in business intelligence or analytics role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, statistics, finance, economics, or related field.
- Passion for data and highly analytical mindset; ability to translate data into informative visuals while also being able to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Creative, self-motivated problem-solver who proactively identifies and implements innovative ideas.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills and ability to work both independently and across teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
