**About the Role**:
The Senior Field Marketing Manager role is responsible for the strategy to build effective integrated go-to-market plans that includes digital, webinars, events, joint partner activities and account based marketing for Japan - with the primary goal in pipeline generation that aligns with the growth objectives of the business.
You will work closely with the cross functional marketing teams in the region and across the globe, Sales leadership and Partner team.
**What You Will Do**:

- Develop and execute the regional marketing strategy and plan for Japan that is aligned to business priorities, pipeline and revenue goals
- Initiate and develop account-based marketing activities to support the sales team's named account plans
- Build strategic Expansion plays for key accounts
- Act as a trusted, strategic partner to sales leadership, understanding Japan's goals and needs
- Support a cross-functional team consisting of sales leaders, account executives, sales development reps, and partner development managers
- Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to identify the most relevant marketing messages, use cases, assets, channels, and calls to action for personas and account segments
- Work closely with global campaigns to leverage a consistent campaign strategy, messaging and assets in regional field marketing programs
- Adapt / localize corporate campaigns for regional execution
- Align and collaborate with Sales and SDR teams to increase program adoption and ensure SLAs for lead follow up are met
- Work with Confluent's partners to build joint GTM and execute joint activities
- Manage regional budgets, pipeline targets and reporting
- Work closely with other geographies in the APAC team to ensure effective re-use of proven campaigns
- Deliver an effective return on Marketing Investments

**What You Will Bring**:

- 7+ years of experience in field marketing and demand generation for enterprise software/SaaS
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing regional integrated marketing programs that drive growth in engagement, demand and conversion
- Data-driven mindset with an understanding of pipeline management and metrics, and a focus on quantifiable outcomes derived from marketing programs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive self-starter, demonstrating high initiative and critical thinking.
Proven ability to think strategically, but with flawless attention to detail in execution.
- Self-motivated, innovative, with the ability to work both independently and within close teams in a fast-paced remote work environment, and the ability to prioritize/manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team, building strong relationships with stakeholders across sales management, sales development and partner leadership, as well as extended marketing teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced, metrics-oriented environment, comfortable with analytics and adapting quickly to meet business needs
- Experience with CRM technology and marketing systems such as Salesforce, Tableau and Splash.
- Ability to navigate within a matrix marketing organization
- Availability to travel when necessary
