**A Snapshot of Your Day**:
Begins with a review of ongoing project statuses, including simulations, design iterations, and experimental setups. Throughout the day, they engage in a mix of theoretical work, such as performing electrical and thermal calculations to optimize transformer designs, and practical tasks, like prototyping new components or testing materials for efficiency and safety improvements. Collaboration is a key aspect of their role, involving discussions with project managers, production teams, and possibly clients to align on specifications, timelines, and innovative solutions. They also dedicate time to stay level of the latest industry standards, technologies, and research findings relevant to transformer design and performance. Problem-solving is at the core of their activities, whether it's addressing design challenges, improving manufacturing processes, or enhancing product performance. The day might conclude with documenting findings, preparing reports, and planning next steps for ongoing and upcoming projects.
**How You’ll Make an Impact**:
- Planning of global R&D projects, coordinating activities with counter parts.
- Evaluate the technical specifications of customers and current standards to define the dry-type distribution transformer design.
- Lead the activities of the product development engineering team based on market demands.
- Technical support to the sales, PLM and market development team.
- Lead activities for portfolio development and productivity measures.
- Proactively support the business team by analyzing problems and promoting solutions.
**What You Bring**:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics and related engineering.
- Solid experience with electrical and mechanical design of dry-type distribution transformers.
- Solid experience with manufacturing process for distribution transformers.
- Exchange with factories abroad, supporting global R&D activities and localization topics.
- Team leadership to manage product engineering team tasks.
- Proactivity and ability to interface between product engineering and partner departments: production, planning, purchasing, etc.
- Experience with customer relations, meetings, and technical presentations.
- Fluent in English.
