**Project Summary**:
For the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Journalists (PDP) is a program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). PDP aims to contribute to improving the institutional and operational capacity of governmental and non-governmental actors involved in the protection of human rights defenders and journalists. Through this program, it is intended to support the generation of a safer civic space for the exercise of freedom of expression and the defense of rights. PDP will work through August 2026 and engages with counterparts and allies at the federal and state levels.

**Position Summary**:
The Graphic Design and Material Consultant will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing graphic materials (infographics, booklets, brochures, etc.) on various topics related to human rights and freedom of expression. The goal of the materials is to disseminate information about the functioning of protection mechanisms in Mexico, as well as various topics that provide human rights defenders and journalists with tools to strengthen their security and psychosocial well-being. The graphic materials should be accessible and easy to disseminate, with the purpose of becoming a support tool that can be used by human rights defenders and journalists. The Consultant will maintain constant communication with the department responsible for overseeing and managing the contract for the coordination and monitoring of consultancy work. The Consultant will also ensure an intersectional approach in the development of the consultancy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualize and design various graphic materials, infographics, guides, booklets, brochures, etc., in formats compatible with websites and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
- Make the necessary adjustments and changes requested in the graphic materials.
- Provide personalized follow-up on tasks related to consultancy and attend in-person or virtual meetings convened by PDP for the development of the consultancy.
- Send the evidence and documents listed with the requested frequency.

**Resumen del Proyecto**:
Por la Protección de Personas Defensoras y Periodistas (PDP) es un programa de la Agencia de los Estados Unidos para el Desarrollo Internacional (USAID). PDP tiene el objetivo de contribuir a mejorar la capacidad institucional y operativa de actores gubernamentales y no gubernamentales involucrados en la protección de las personas defensoras de derechos humanos y periodistas. A través de este programa, se pretende apoyar en la generación de un espacio cívico más seguro para el ejercicio de la libertad de expresión y la defensa de derechos. PDP trabajará hasta agosto de 2026 y realiza actividades con contrapartes y aliados a nível federal y estatal.

**Resumen del Cargo**:
La consultoría tiene el objetivo de contratar a una persona profesional responsable de conceptualizar y realizar el diseño de materiales gráficos (infografías, cuadernillos, folletos, etc) sobre diversas temáticas en materia de derechos humanos y libertad de expresión. El objetivo de los materiales será difundir información sobre el funcionamiento de instancias de protección en México, además de diversos temas que doten a las personas defensoras de derechos y periodistas de herramientas para fortalecer su seguridad y salud psicoemocional. Dicho material gráfico deberá ser de accesible y de fácil difusión con la finalidad de convertirse en una herramienta de apoyo que pueda ser utilizado por las personas defensoras de derechos humanos y periodistas.
