**ALTEN Mexico is looking for Body Design & release engineer**

**General Activities**:
The Body D&R Engineer will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing and production release for some of the following functions**:Body-in-white / Body closure sheet metal and hinging / Fascia/bumper / Underbody shield and Wheel liners / Cladding & flares / Body exterior (moldings, badges, decals and vents) / Front Lighting / EE & Signal Lighting / Fixed Glass/ Wipers /Fuel Door components /systems from initial design concept through full volume production. Exterior TRIM, Closures and VISION.**
- Responsibilities will include interface and coordinating the packaging with product design office, vehicle development, other Exterior and Body Engineering teams, all adjacent departments (electromechanical, electrical, lighting, trim); and suppliers to design, develop and release these components/systems.
- The Engineer will provide feasibility input for development of designs from Product Design Office (PDO) concepts, sketches, and clay models.
- Other responsibilities will include quality improvements, weight reduction, cost reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives including communicating technical product status to management.
- To develop functional objectives, build objectives, DVP&R / DFMEA & manage the production supplier to meet all requirements. Also responsible of the release of completed geometry using NX Teamcenter CAD tools.

**Education/Experience**:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

2-5 of engineering experience designing and developing on the following**:Exterior TRIM, Body in White, Closures and Vision.**

**Soft skills**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills (technical and non-technical)
- Able to manage multiple simultaneously responsibilities and projects, while being mind of deadlines
- Must be task oriented, detail oriented and Make Sound Decisions
- Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, problem solving, organizational skills, excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work in a cross functional team environment at all levels.

**Technical Skills**:
' **Experience designing and developing on the following: --->Body in White, Closures, Exterior TRIM or Vision.**
- CAD experience with Unigraphics NX, Catia V5 and Teamcenter in a production release environment **BIW (Body in White), Exterior TRIM, Closures y BIW.**:

- Knowledgeable regarding high strength steels/ aluminum forming processes, weld parameters and GD&T
- Experience with OEM or supplier on design and release
- Experience/knowledge with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) and validation plans
- BoM’s creation and edition
- Experience designing and developing injection molding, painting, and decorating plastic Class A components
- Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Reactive Green/Black Belt is a plus
- BIW in-plant launch experience is a plus
- CAE/Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) knowledge
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- CATIA V5 knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of Casting and Injection Molding processes is a plus
- Possibility of traveling, valid passport, and visa preferable
