**SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER**

Purpose

Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish schedules, workload and capacity requirements. Creates problem-solving proposals and evaluates progress against established plans and parameters. Assignments are task oriented. Provides guidance to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed to determine soundness of judgment, overall quality, and efficiency. Manage and executes policies and procedures that generally affecting individual subordinate employees. Performs tasks principally through direct supervisory employees. Supervises the daily operations of a unit and actively assists or provides orientation to subordinates as needed. May perform, especially with staff or professional groups, tasks in relation to organizational units. Ensures that projects are completed in a timely manner following established procedures and schedules. Wrong decisions or recommendations or inability to achieve results may cause delays in program schedules and result in the assignment of more resources. Most relationships are internal with subordinates and supervisors at an equivalent or higher level. Relationships usually involve specific phases of a project or operation. External contacts are infrequent and involve routine matters.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for designing, complying and reporting on supply chain metrics.
- Leading continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the company's rentability by identifying and developing new cost reduction projects.
- Responsible for maintaining all raw materials, consumables and finished product at optimum levels.
- Be part of the divisional supply chain strategy.
- Evaluates problems and develops solutions to meet supply chain objectives.
- Manage supply chain areas for optimal performance.

**AUTHORITIES**
- Verify that the budget allocated is being administered correctly.
- Stop production or certification processes when any deviation is detected in the processes and/or in the specifications of raw materials and/or products.
- Stop non-compliant product found in any Corning warehouse.

**JOB COMPETENCES**

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Engineering
- Graduate
- Master on Administration
- Undergraduate or Graduate (desirable)

Experience
- 3 years minimum in the manufacturing industry in a similar or equivalent position.
- Proven experience of 5 years (desirable) in different areas of supply chain.

Trainings & Certifications
- APICS (desirable)
- ISO 9000, ISO 14001.

**Skills**:

- Leadership, decision making.
- Conversational English.
- Negotiation skills.
