**Job description**

Provides semi-professional technical support in the field of environmental control. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Encompasses processes and infrastructure for the supply of water, disposal of waste, control of pollution, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Encompasses health and safety management systems and compliance with health and safety regulatory agency requirements, company requirements and facility requirements.
- Support to Operations and Auxiliary areas in process related to Safety and Environmental management system
- Chemical management and Hazard communication: provide GHS labels, SDS and control of chemicals in Operations areas
- Participate on incident investigations, root cause analysis and CAPA actions
- Manage and perform regulatory studies related to STPS, Civil Protection, SEMARNAT
- Evaluation, monitoring and signing of permits related to high risk and non-routine activities
- EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors
- Perform Safety inspections to identify unsafe behaviors and conditions
- Planning and execution of EHS awareness campaigns
- Hazardous and non
- hazardous management control
- Participate in the preparation of ISO 14001:2015 internal and external audits
- Elaboration of purchase requisitions related to EHS services and supplies
- Perform hazard identification and risk assessments (JSA)
- Emergency equipment control and inspections
- Control of hazardous waste generation records and preparation of hazardous waste labels. The impact is related to the legal requirements that the company must comply with in its operations.
- Detection and assessment of security risks to avoid incidents, recordable cases and possible SIF's.
- Internal: Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, Supply Chain, Engineering, Human Resources, Quality, Lean departments, Cafeteria, Corporate
- Contractors, suppliers, regulatory authorities

**Minimum knowledge and skills required**
- Education:

- Technical career in Environmental and Safety Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- Professional career (completed, unfinished or in progress) in Environmental and Safety Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
- Work experience:

- 1- 2 years in similar position
- Industry expertise
- Additional profile:

- ISO 45001:2018 knowledge
- Excellent service attitude and high sense of urgency.
- Good performance under pressure
- English (preferred)
