**How you will contribute**

You will:

- Co-ordinate implementation of all HSE programs and processes. Prepare and build consensus annual plans for facility/function wide HSE initiatives
- Plan/Budget/Control annual capital budget for HSE to enable execution of the HSE plan and adherence to all internal and external compliance standards
- Provide HSE expertise for the facility/function for all new projects and change management activities
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents, asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors, visitors
- Ensure that the appropriate talent is in place through training, mentoring, and succession planning and supports development and learning capabilities of Safety specialists
- Ensure the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental/community regulations
- Ensure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety-perfect culture and to ensure safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organization

- Experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Practitioner preferably within a manufacturing or commercial environment
- Demonstrated experience managing a team, change management and project management
- Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with Health and Safety audit experience

**What you need to know about this position**:
**The Sanitation Manager must possess educational background and technical aptitude as it relates to food plant sanitation programs, chemical handling and Food Safety programs. A general knowledge of Food and environmental microbiological testing as well as preventative measures including sanitary design and automated sanitation and efficiency is required.**:

**- **Helps develop and implement strategic sanitation program, policies, plans and processes to ensure that sanitary performance meets True Leaf standards as well as supports Food Safety requirement towards regulatory compliance**:

- **Manages annual sanitation plan, budget forecast and performance**:

- **Manage sanitation Chemical supply and inventory**:

- **Ensure that the plant is cleaned daily and ready to start production on time**:

- **Maintain a safe work environment by properly implementing the HSE Systems - Always raise safety awareness for chemical handling and equipment operation with Tag out Lock out training**:

- **Ensure that the company food safety guidelines are implemented daily**:

- **Maintain good communication with subordinates, peers and other members of management**:

- **Train and set safety goals for sanitation crew.**:

- **Participate in audits, facility inspections and coordinate pre-operational inspection with QC Management**:

- **Clearly communicate expectation to sanitation employees**:

- **Other duties may be assigned.**:
**Education / Certifications**:

- **Bachelor's degree in a science related field**:
**Job specific requirements**:

- **Minimum of 5 years of experience in sanitation or leadership role with working knowledge of food safety, quality, preferably in the food processing industry. (required)**:

- **Prior experience managing Direct Reports and Sanitation Programs (required)**:

- **Strong Continuous Improvement mindset (required)**:

- **Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (required)**:

- **Experience with SAP (preferred)**:

- **Strong Computer (MS Office) and Communication skills (Oral and Written)**:

- **Excellent Time Management, Prioritization and Organizational Skills**:
