**Scope**
Matamoros operations C1 & C2. Direct reports include Labor Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development, Community & Communications
- 100M business, ~1400 headcount, 2 sites
- **Main activities**
- Personnel administration: Assure compliance with the necessary requirements in human resources, legal compliance, organizational needs and employee issues.
- Maintains strong labor relations. Controls and monitors labor agreements, if applicable.
- Talent Acquisition: Provide the correct number of employees, based on the needs of the organization, at the right place and with the potential; within the time required under process capability.
- Responsible for the administration of wages, salaries and benefits: Ensure legal compliance, market competitiveness, internal equity and alignment with business performance.
- Talent Management: Identify, retain and develop individual and collective talent.
- Organizational structure and workforce plan: Coordinate the organizational plan to changes in short-, medium
- and long-term according to business needs; provide organizational support for the optimization of resources (growth and / or reduction of staff).- Recommends training needs and maintains the staff at the highest level of skills and knowledge to meet the needs and objectives of the company.
- Manages the performance appraisal system.

Responsible to meet EHS requirements and procedures.- Human Resources Control: Maintain HR practices, costs and risks under control.
- Manages the implementation of Social Responsibility standards ( SA 8000).

- Guarantee that the workforce has the right skills set and tools for performing their jobs.

- Guarantee that employees have a safe a effective work enviorment condusive of good work practices and habits and that labor relation issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Guarantee that the organization is in compliance with all laws and regulations for the site/location.

**Profile (Experience & qualifications)**
- Bachelors Degree or similar experience in Human Resources
- Experience with union negotiations, EHS, training and development, interviews by competencies.
- Experience in managing compensation systems for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Fluent English
- Experience in change management
