Specilized Freight Carrier Sales Representative

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Specialized Freight Carrier Sales Representative to join our team. If you are passionate about the transportation industry and have a proven track record in slinging freight, we want to hear from you
**Responsibilities**:
Set the Loads Up for Success:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the proper planning and execution of specialized freight shipments.
- Utilize industry knowledge to identify and mitigate potential challenges in the transportation process.
Maximize Margin:
- Develop and implement strategic pricing models to optimize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- Negotiate favorable rates with carriers and manage pricing agreements.
Stratify and Build Relationships with Carriers:
- Identify and onboard new carriers that align with the specialized freight requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure reliability and capacity.
Be Part of the Team:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, account management, and logistic specialist, to ensure seamless execution of freight services.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the department.
Provide Rates for Quotes, RFQ’s, and Can Get’s:
- Respond promptly to rate requests from customers, providing competitive and accurate pricing.
- Prepare and submit quotes, RFQs (Request for Quotes), and Can Gets to secure new business opportunities.
**Qualifications**:
- 2 years’ experience as a Carrier Sales Representative
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in specialized freight sales, with a strong understanding of the transportation industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented with a focus on maximizing margins and achieving sales targets.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of freight management systems and logistics software is a plus.
