**Description**
- Serve as the technical point of contact between the manufacturing site and design center to ensure Fit/Form/Function of existing and new products
- Function as owner of product documentation and technical records (specifications, BOM, drawings, labeling, packing) applicable to the function in compliance with the requirements of the organization's quality management system.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the different areas (design, engineering, quality, manufacturing, planning) to resolve performance issues and meet launch of new products.

**Responsibilities**
- Communicate closely with design centers to share technical information and documentation on new products to transfer to manufacturing environment
- Participate at early stage and manage all information needed (BOM, drawing, specification, process routine) to set up new part numbers into manufacturing plant MRP
- Review technical information and product critical characteristics impacts of Engineering Change Notifications launched by design center, serving as change approver
- Work closely with different departments (design, engineering, quality, manufacturing, planning) to evaluate impact of product changes before releasing to mass production
- Standardize documentation and product records of different part number families for continuous sustaining
- Support team on execution of area and plant key initiatives
- Actively support 5S, EHS (ISO14001), Quality (TS16949), and GLSS programs by following all approved practices and procedures, performing clean-up activities and identify/recommend improvements to management
- Fulfill responsibilities/authorities detailed in any control plan associated with this position
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

**What will you bring to the role**
- BS in engineering discipline (Mechatronics / Physics / Photonics / Industrial or related)
- Require 1-3 years of experience in an engineering role in manufacturing environment
- Preparation, Development and Release of Internal Control Documents
- Advanced English (professional proficiency)
- Be methodical, maintain documentation and pay attention to detail
- Experience with programs for product life cycle management and MRP
- Strong critical thinking and organization skills
- Team work and communication skills
- Leadership
- Integrity
- Advanced management of computer tools (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Able to use the necessary quality tools as it relates to this position
- Must be able to perform all physical requirements as it relates to this position as outlined in the Functional job description

**Preferred**
- Knowledge on GD&T (drawing interpretation) and optical fiber
- Experience (or support) on process/NPI engineering roles
- Work Experience in Connector and Cable design and manufacture
- Knowledge in SAP MRP
- Training in Quality and Problem Solving tools
- Use and Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning. (APQP)
