We want to keep driving towards the future, so our team is currently seeking you as: Customs Senior Specialist.
As a Customs Senior Specialist, you will be providing support to ensure compliance with customs laws and making sure that control operations are carried out in accordance with BMW policies and in compliance with legal requirements.
You will be preparing and be processing all import documentation necessary for the customs broker and managing the complete import process by ensuring product availability is in time and at the lowest cost possible.
Furthermore will be ensuring that trade documents accurately reflect the physical shipment to the country or origin, and will being aware of Trade agreements and the HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classification.
You will be coordinating import and export customs activities such as; importation of vehicle prototypes, import of auxiliary materials and indirect purchases and ensuring that are in compliance with the current regulations.
You will be having the responsibility for all customs related issues during the ramp up of the production plant and handle all post-entry amendments and internal audits of all machinery and equipment imported together with the line manager.
**Qualification**:
- Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, International Trade or Law.
- 3+ years of working experience with customs brokers, forwarders and international partners.
- 3+ years of experience with customs regulations and international customs requirements.
- Experience with machinery and equipment import.
- Experience in HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classification.
- Basic Logistics SAP Knowledge.
- Fluent English
