**Job Description Summary**: Subsection Manager of the Performance LM9000 team as well as Program Leader.
Provide overall leadership and administrative management to the LM9000 Performance Engineering personnel. Responsible for the technical recommendations relative to Performance engineering to the LM9000 program to satisfy the engine requirements. Establish and implement cost estimates, program and individual’s goals as well as project execution plans. Direct scheduling and design plans to achieve overall business needs. Develop and maintain a safe and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional efforts to achieve and maintain Engineering excellence.

- ** Roles and Responsibilities**
- Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives
- Integrate across Engineering Technologies disciplines and with internal / external customers
- Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the Performance Engineering organization
- Manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise
- Be involved in long-term planning
- Contribute to the overall business strategy
- Provide leadership and technical direction to the program team members on all projects
- Establish an execution plan for the engine program, define objectives, and associated costs.
- Work with functional leaders to staff program effectively and meet program and business objectives
- Manage the program, provide reports to customer, and modify plan as required
- Provide counsel to team on design practices and standards
- Drive a lean culture adoption within the team
- Communicate with the customer or program manager to assure a quality product is delivered
- Review and follow up on performance development of team and serve as facilitator for their career path
- ** Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proven experience leading technical teams.
- Significant experience in engine performance, operability or controls’ disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate requirements, work scope, and funding with customer
- Prior experience as a Performance Program Leader.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Effective team building and project management skills
- Ability to guide and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
