**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure to maximize scalability
- Debug, troubleshoot, modify, and unit test integrated solutions
- Automate code testing and pipelines.
- Engages with business partners to participate in design and development of data integration/transformation solutions per functional requirements
- Properly document code, artifact descriptions, implementations, and use cases
- Generate, prepare, and catalog APIs
- Create databases and infrastructure to process data as scale, and monitor appropriately
- Data consistency and integrity

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years working in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar field
- Technical hands-on expertise in data modelling and SQL is a must
- Able to work with conflicting priorities, scope changes, and shifting expectations
- Able to quickly determine and communicate impacts and tradeoffs required in response to changing priorities
- Able to effectively communicate with peers and leadership both in written and verbal form
- Must have technical ability sufficient to be able to review detailed technical requirements and specifications documentation to ensure that Database work aligns with deliverables
- Must be a team player and have worked with cross functional technical and business teams
- Strong technical communication and collaboration skills
- Good knowledge of logical/physical data models and database design

Preferred Qualifications:

- Excellent skills in an object-oriented programming language such as Python or R
- High degree of proficiency in cloud computing
- Prior experience with Matillion, Snowflake, Oracle, Alteryx, Tableau, and PowerBI
- Demonstrable background and understanding of user story generation
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus and a good understanding of enterprise resource planning [ERP] platforms
- Strong background in programming, software life-cycle development, release cycles and CI/CD development
- Excellent skills and deep knowledge of databases such as Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redshift, and Aurora, including distributed database design
- Database optimization
