VEV Electrical DV & Sign off Engineer is responsible of managing the electrical system and subsystem sign off testing. The engineer will conduct the testing in vehicle, breadboard, HiL o test benches. The GPDS milestones to be supported by this position are FDJ, PEC and FEC.
- Bachelor of engineering: Mechatronics, Electronic, Electrical, Automotive, or similar.
- Experience working with electrical and electronics systems and testing software.
- Experience working on analytical electrical/electronic environment for issue investigation and root causes analysis.
- Experience working with vehicle CAN diagnostics tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy).
- Experience working with electrical diagnostic tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture.
- Knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, Python, etc.).
- Desirable experience working with SW data processing and model creation (Matlab/Simulik, LabVIEW, etc.).
- Desirable experience working with micro-controllers (PIC, FPGA, Arduino, Raspberry).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (Spanish and English).
- Excellent organizational skills including ability to multi-task.
- Enjoy both "hands on" and analytical environment, working on test activities in the laboratory, garage, and test tracks.
- Good collaboration skills, able to work with multiple people and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
- Driving skills.
- Demonstrated high integrity.
- Availability to travel (Mexico and US).
- Conduct system and subsystem verification testing and signoff of Electrical Systems, Software and Features at applicable GPDS milestones (FDJ, PEC and FEC).
- Definition of robust and efficient EE Sign-off DVP, jointly with Electrical, Software and Features engineering teams.
- Revision and approval of test reports, and publication in corporate systems on time and with integrity.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution path in case of DV failures.
- Definition of properties (Breadboards, TPV Mules, Vehicles) required to support test plans efficiently and within program budget.
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of Breadboards at different GPDS phases as applicable.
- Create, modify, and delete specific tests to increase Electrical Signoff robustness and reduce costs.
- Approve vehicle level DVPs and concurs on test acceptance criteria.
- Propose FEDE cascade and performs test data entry and assessments for tests conducted.
- Determine feature requirements and test time needed to complete sign off testing.
- Procure latest level test parts/ software & signs off vehicle as ok to test.
- Execute verification testing, create DVP evidence and document test results in FEDE.
- Execute verification testing (at bench and vehicle level) in laboratory, garage and test tracks.
- Perform testing activities at different Ford facilities (México and US)
