The Data Architecture Grp Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short
- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manages data architecture analysts and help oversee the design of strategic business information architecture framework that will focus primarily on improving the availability, accessibility, quality, and reliability of data used across silo functions at Citi.
- Lead the development of the information architecture principles and framework for Citi’s Enterprise Analytics Platform (Citi’s big data environment).
- Create and maintain formal enterprise information management requirements that include business architecture models, conceptual and logical data models, data flows, enterprise data standards, adoption strategies, and data remediation recommendations.
- Create detailed business requirements documents reflecting the data needs of key business and technology initiatives at Citi.
- Work closely with key business SMEs to develop an in-depth understanding of their critical data needs and business impact of existing data quality and data integrity issues on a detailed level.
- Recognize the patterns of data needs across multiple business requirements and determine how to address these requirements using an effective and efficient business data architecture.
- Work closely with key technology SMEs to address business architecture requirements.
- Soft skills required to work with an executive team: high level communication skills, influence management, and good presentation ability.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years Banking, Financial Services experience
- Excellent communications skills
- Demonstrated facility to interact and work effectively with diverse teams
- Ability to lead projects with multiple counterparts across organizations
- Ability to work under pressure, facilitate discussions and conduct group mee

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree/MBA
