The Junior Technical Writer will create and update product documentation, interpreting technology by producing and formatting user documentation for all software products. This position collaborates with product management, development teams and other key business stakeholders, and requires the ability to quickly assimilate and organize complicated information into simple, clear language. The documentation is published as online, context sensitive help.
This is a great opportunity for an entry-level Technical Writer to expand their skills and experience in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Create and/or edit user documentation to be released with new versions of software products
- Ensure all documentation complies with published documentation standards and perform peer reviews
- Collaborate with Support, Development and Product Management to ensure document content accurately reflects product functionality and provides the end-user with helpful, easy to assimilate information
- Manage content in online help authoring software to facilitate autonomous and collaborative authoring of documentation
- Perform ad hoc technical writing, editing and all other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, communications, journalism or related area
- Proficient level experience in Madcap Flare or an equivalent online help tool, MS Office, GSuite and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written and to convert complex technical information into clean, concise, and coherent end-user documentation in plain English
- Able to work independently as well as with teams in a proactive and productive manner
