**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English with regional stakeholders.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience with SQL and SAP ERP and proficiency in spreadsheet software/Google Sheets.
- Understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS and US GAAP).
- Knowledge of electronic invoicing and accounting rules in Mexico, MX Tax Report (SIPRED).

In this role, you will be responsible for financial and tax filings required by law, and manage and enhance the financial control environment. This role will support Google’s businesses organization, overseeing financial and regulatory compliance matters.
In this role, you will improve processes and governance models, and deliver value in the expansion of Google’s international operations ensuring the implementation of process management, mitigating the risk of incorrect statutory filings.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet analysis to support month end close process, providing Month over Month, Quarter over Quarter, Year over Year analysis for US and Local books. Preparation of Financial Analysis, Management Reports, Statutory Financial Statements according to IFRS Review and approve reconciliations, resolve open items.
- Participate in ongoing policy, system control improvements to ensure local compliance. Review and post entries (e.g., transactions, interest on loans, etc.) complying with local statutory and tax regulations.
- Guide the business to mitigate risk, support high quality decision making and help build the financial infrastructure to scale in support of the business.
- Manage audit deliverables, external audit management, and follow up.
- Manage the delivery of accounting and tax processes performed by external vendors ensuring that all service levels are met and a quality service is provided.
