The Tax senior is responsible for managing the entire tax preparation process, from tax document collection to filing the tax return, calculating quarterly estimated tax payments for our clients, and answering any tax filing tax payments-related questions. We are looking for an exceptional individual to create a remarkable client experience with us.

**What you will do**
Self-prepare, review, and file simple & complex individual and business tax returns with accuracy and efficiency. This includes work papers and tax returns for business and personal tax preparation, preparing journal entries, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Represent clients before the IRS and other government agencies.
- Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments and update instructions to make these payments.
- Be responsive. We are required to respond to clients within 24-48 business hours.
- Take accountability for managing your assigned clients to achieve over 90% timely completion.
- Ensure over 90% accuracy.
- Work on some accounting services of bookkeeping, monthly close, and financial reporting, assisting with financial budgeting & forecasting.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest tax laws and regulations.
- Attend daily morning meetings to report your daily wins and set priorities for today.

**Capabilities and Key Competencies**:

- Solid understanding and experience with individual and business tax returns, including Partnership, S Corp & C Corp.
- Solid understanding and experience with financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss, and Statements of Cash Flow.
- Able to communicate using simple words to clients who do not know taxes and may need help reading financial statements.
- Proficiency in GSuite, Tax Software (we use Intuit ProConnect), Zoom, QBO, and other task management software.
- Able to adopt changes.
- Not afraid to ask questions when there are no clear guidelines. Willing to make improvements and suggestions to make the process more efficient and complete.

**What you need**
- CPA or EA is a plus
- Five years of Tax Preparation Experience is a Must (1120S, 1120, 1065 & 1040)
- 5-6 years experience in a CPA firm.
- Big 4 experience is a plus but not required.
- Tech-savvy.
- Adaptable. Willing to learn and accept new things.
- Must be comfortable with zoom/google meets video conferencing internally and with clients when needed.
- This opportunity is 100% remote/virtual. Must have access to a quiet/private office setup without distractions/noise for client meetings.

- The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with TLNT.

- Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (+/- 1 hour accepted) - PST.

**Salary**: Up to $63,000.00 per month
