Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist in developing and/or executing strategic plans to meet departmental and organizational goals while complying with regulatory and customer requirements - Lead, develop and coordinate the requirements necessary to meet ISO, AS-9100 and customer audit compliance in the most cost-effective manner - Supervise quality engineers and inspectors - Ensure the consistent administration of applicable company policies and procedures - Participate in the CAPA and Customer Complaint process, including driving timely root cause investigation and communication with the customer, sales, manufacturing, engineering, and other personnel - Partner with product development engineers, within a stage-gate product development process, to ensure proper design transfer of new products into production. Work within a team environment to resolve contradictions with customer’s specifications and procedures and establish cost effective quality systems designed to meet product quality objectives. - Provide leadership and guidance to assure corrective actions are resolved, adequate root cause analysis is completed and short/or long-term corrective actions are implemented - Ensure strong communication with complaint responses or other Quality Assurance concerns with other departments; facilitate exchange of information to implement change and improvements regarding quality - Identify and proactively lead continuous improvement actions to prevent non-conformances working closely with internal and external customers - Act as process owner for key quality processes, provide progress reports and track quality key performance indicators (KPIs) - Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Systems - Drive key performance indicators to all levels within the organization related to Quality Assurance and participate in making recommendations for necessary changes to enhance the business objectives
Experiência y requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree - Aerospace industry experience - 5 years experience related to quality system development and management - 2 years surpervisory experience - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate multiple activities with a wide variety of disciplines within the company - Knowledge of statistical methods and lot acceptance used in the product development and production process - Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills - Proven organizational and leadership skills - Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - US visa. - Availability for travel - Six Sigma and MiniTab experience - Understanding of FDA’s Quality System Requirements, ISO 9001 and AS9100 - Knowledge of other regulatory processes: DMR, DHR, process validation and statistical quality tools - Understanding and knowledge of working in a clean room manufacturing environment - Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and team problem solving. - Understanding of quality systems in a cGMP environment including but not limited to: o Documentation Requirements / DHF / DMR / DHR o Nonconformance Reporting / CAPA / Deviation / CC o Root Cause Analysis / 5 Why / 8D o Supplier Quality Management o Employee Training Requirements o Calibration Requirements o Production Process Validation Requirements / IQ / OQ / PQ o Manufacturing and Packaging documentation requirements - Fluency in Spanish and English
