Eaton’s ES CRDS COMM Commercial division is currently seeking a Front end Engineering Manager.

**What you’ll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
In charge of developing and executing CRDS-CPA product lines strategic direction; leading the growth and strategy programs and all facets of product engineering, product development strategy.
Accountable for the oversight of the engineering activities to assure the organization financial, growth, technologic, and productivity improvement objectives as set forth in the overall profit plan are met. This is accomplished by ensuring on-time and efficient execution of cost-out projects, engineered to order sales, maintenance of line as well as prototyping and industrialization support of new product development.
Responsible for overseeing the production processes to ensure financial performance and enhance manufacturing efficiency by increasing the value-added ratio and eliminating waste in the overall supply chain for Dry-Type Distribution Transformers (DTDT), Panelboards, ATS, Busplugs, and other Low Voltage Assemblies.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- [10%] Supervise activities related to UL,CSA, DOE certifications and standards.
- [10%] Review/Approve installation, new assembly, subassembly, and detailed datasets and drawings ensuring adherence to Eaton’s engineering standards and customer requirements.
- [15%] Execute lean tools and procedures within Value Stream atmosphere to minimize process variation.
- [20%] Develop and implement manufacturing performance goals to employees through performance ownership process as well as daily management for DTDT, Panelboards, ATS, Busplugs, and other Low Voltage Assemblies.
- [5%] Planning and organizing production schedule to meet customer satisfaction and financial performance indicators
- [5%] Ensure Engineering Control (change management) processes are deployed and followed by the design team. Maintain high level of internal and external communication through participation in design and program reviews, technical discussions, and progress reporting.
- [10%] Manage and develop staff to ensure high level of performance and employee engagement.
- [10%] Ensure manufacturing infrastructure meets project needs and support process improvement activities.
- [5%] Ensure that design and change management activities comply with Eaton Electrical requirements.
- [5%] Visit customers and suppliers to explore new business opportunities and address quality matters
- [5%] Establish relationships and communication channels with the NPD engineering owners of each of the product lines under his/her responsibility.

**Qualifications**:

- By-lingual (English and Spanish)
- Electrical/Electro-Mechanical or equivalent Engineering
- +10 years of experience in design and manufacturing
- Experience in manufacturing processes
- Project Management Professional PMP certified
- MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint)
- Drafting, mechanical and electrical.
- 3D CAD - AutoCad / Inventor / Solidworks
- Bill Of Materials Structure Knowledge (AS-400 / MAPICS).
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) certified
- Product Lifecycle management
- ECN/ECR
- Industry standards for Transformers UL, CSA, DOE, NEMA, IEEE
- Knowledge of robust design methods
