**Your Job**
Designs, implements, and executes continuous improvement initiatives that optimize cost structures, improve productivity and product throughput, streamlines processes, and improves service and performance metrics across all operations within Materials and Logistics. Designs, analyzes and implements supply chain solutions to solve complex logistics problems for distribution of materials and finished
goods.

**What You Will Do:
**- Designs, analyzes and implements supply chain systems employed in the distribution of direct material and finished goods.
- Analyzes and improves manufacturing & warehouse layouts to optimize material flow, storage, retrieval and distribution.
- Identifies annual cost savings opportunities.
- Supports continuous improvement of operational and financial logistics performance.
- Designs, develops, validates, and implements methods and tools that improve operational flexibility and execution of a lean production systems using appropriate lean logistics concepts.
- Modifies and improves existing logistics systems such as material flow, storage and information flow.
- Support and drive 6S programs and practices to maintain a safe working environment with good housekeeping practices. Ensure employees follow all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies.
- Supports Logistics teams in the development and implementation of methods for material ordering, communication, transportation, packaging, and distribution throughout the supply chain.
- Appraise employee performance per Molex policies and procedures as well as assist in employee interviewing, training, development, discipline and other activity as required.
- Encourage, support and foster an environment of open communication between all department/divisional groups, facilities, Rochester Hills and regional/global resources.
- Develops and implements solutions that focus on reducing lead time throughout the value stream and extended supply chain.
- Collaborates with Lean Facilitator and other managers to identify improvement opportunities for workshops and actively participates in workshops.
- Teaches and drives the utilization of lean logistics tools such as Plan for Every Part, Kanban, Supermarkets, Milkruns, SAP Templates, etc.
- Daifuku shuttle system owner and all Material flow.
- Creation of Process Designs and Functional Designs for SAP changes, setup new parts into SAP and flow for supply RM to source BIN to consumption BIN flow.
- Understand, support and contribute to Molex Total Quality Management (TQM) initiative, GLSS, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements solutions that focus on reducing lead time throughout the value stream and extended supply chain.
**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**:
- 4 to 7 years minimum experience in engineering related with logistics or manufacturing discipline (molding, stamping, plating, assembly).
- Understanding of assembly processes, machine design, construction and assembly processes.
- Working knowledge of assembly or molding processes, also optimization and principles.
- Working knowledge of connector inspection methods and processes.
- Working knowledge of RM flow in automotive industry.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- SAP strong knowledge of MM is a must. (specific WMS & IM).
**What Will Put You Ahead**:
- Bachelor's degree with SAP strong knowledge of module WMS, MM and IM additional Engineering Module or work in engineering or business administration.
- 5 years' experience in a connector production plant with progressive steps of increasing responsibility.
- Previous materials coordinator experience.
