The Purchaser & Logistics Specialist will play a pivotal role in overseeing procurement activities for office and equipment supplies, while also managing logistics and supply chain operations in the company. Reporting directly to the Director of Logistics, this position requires a blend of strong financial acumen, negotiation skills, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure cost-effective purchasing and efficient management of logistics processes.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet the company's purchasing needs.
- Source and select vendors based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and favorable terms.
- Coordinate and optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline supply chain processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Consolidate invoices and track expenses to ensure accurate budget management.
- Coordinate with the internal Finance team to understand purchasing requirements and specifications.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve issues or disputes as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular reports and updates on purchasing activities to senior management.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience as a purchaser or buyer, preferably in a similar industry (private security, defense, or related fields) 6 months minimum.
- Strong financial management skills with the ability to analyze budgets and cost implications.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools to streamline purchasing processes.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a deep understanding of market dynamics.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.

- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards in conducting purchasing activities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- SAP Concur experience is a plus.
