Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
**This role in summary**:
**System Integrator of Refrigeration, responsible to manage systems integration of projects in Production Development Projects.**
**This is a core leadership function on the development of new projects, responsible to ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements coming out of the voice of the stakeholders such as: cost, quality and performance targets.**
**Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan guardrails.**
**Responsible for driving full system validation through predictive validation methodologies in concept, design and production validation stages.**
**This opportunity is located in Cetec Engineering Center, located in Monterrey/MX, and it is part of Global Product Organization responsible for the full life cycle of products, from concept to retirement.**
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- ** Responsible for driving Product Leadership through the Whirlpool Product Development process, including the following**:
- ** Manage/Release of EBOMs based on project charter and architecture definition**
- ** Drive simulation of virtual prototypes and build of physical prototypes per V&V Plan**
- ** Document total expected variation to +/- 3 sigma distribution for each attribute**
- ** Document the revision of parts used in builds using baselines**
- ** Designate high contributing factors toward each function as a Special Characteristic**
- ** Drive the measurement and documentation of the special characteristics on physical prototypes**
- ** Drive closure of dFMEA action plans and updated Occurrence & Detection, based on Concept and Design Validation data and functional performance stacks**
- ** Budget expenses administration**
- ** Lead technical team to ensure the technical delivery of the project**
- ** Lead technical design reviews for project to provide an assessment of whether the project is within the architecture/project/product plan guardrails by working with key development team members (e.g. Subsystem teams, V&V Strategist, Project Leader) and by consulting with key architecture development team members when necessary (e.g. Platform System Architect, Subsystem SMEs, V&V Strategist)**
- ** Provide status reports and and pre production activities as appropriate.**
- ** Develops and monitors project schedules.**
- ** Work closely with the multi functional team (MKt, planning, manufacturing, service, GSS) and product engineering team to lead and participate on regulatory and new products introductions**
- ** Documented reusable knowledge to support continuous improvement of architecture development and future Production Development Projects**
**Minimum requirements**:
- ** Engineering Degree**
- ** English advanced or fluent**
- ** 5-10 years depending on scope of project Engineering & Technical Design Experience**
- ** Proven development and execution experience**
- ** Knowledge in given category -> refrigeration**
- ** Project management**
- ** System design**
- ** System integration**
- ** Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others**
- ** Technical coaching abilities**
- ** High level skills of systems thinking**
- ** Good Communication skills with different audiences (leadership, engineering, manufacturing, and line employees)**
