The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Advisory Program focuses on strengthening financial institutions in emerging markets and provides technical expertise and advisory services to help them establish profitable and sustainable banking models while supporting the expansion of financial services. The program focuses on the following areas of work: Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Finance, Digital Financial Services, Risk Management, Sustainable Energy Finance, and Banking on Women.

The Program is seeking two interns as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC’s work, while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment. Moreover, the Global Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world.

**Duties and Accountabilities**:

- Business development support: The intern will help the team in structuring and developing high impact presentations and technical proposals for potential advisory projects with financial institutions and support the team in preparation activities related to originating and launching the project and related to IFC’s project cycle in order to ensure all activities follow IFC governance (e.g: defining project activities and scope of work, implementation plans, research, and analysis of the financial sector in a specific market or a specific financial institution, drafting budgets, designing indicator/targets, etc.).
- Existing project management and implementation: The intern will support the project leaders in advisory projects implementation and client management activities, which can include the elaboration of project workplans and high quality project deliverables, the organization of missions, conducting research and analysis of client information and databases, analyzing and synthesizing client information in a clear and concise manner, elaborating quantitative analysis, analyzing financial statements, developing high impact presentations for clients and project supervision reports, among others. The intern will work closely with project leads to meet financial institutions' client expectations and ensure all activities required in IFC’s project cycle are met.

**Selection Criteria**
- Preferred field of study: Masters in Business Administration (MBA); Finance; Economics
- 2-3 years of previous work experience
- Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese are preferred
