Bookkeeping/project Coordination Support

We are looking for a bookkeeper to take care of all our company’s day-to-day financial tasks. This person will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable along with project support tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports.
- Arrange bill payment schedules and verify accuracy of invoices.
- Prepare and submit invoices for approval.
- Process accounts receivable and payable.
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Understand ledgers.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Examine employee’s timesheet and submit for approval.
- Ensure expense reports align with established travel policies.

Additional Tasks:

- Prepare quote requests for vendors and send purchase orders.
- Request purchase order status updates from vendors.
- Coordinate freight shipping logistics and prepare packing slips.
- Keep project schedules up to date and generate material job quotes.
- Maintain project status spreadsheet.

Bookkeeper Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration is desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to prepare, review, and understand financial statements.
- Knowledge of US GAAP (preferred).
- High attention to detail.
