- Coordinate and control product/design information to accomplish and meet all FCA Quality specifications, standards, functional objectives and targets for business success. - Key Single point permanent link between Product Engineering (USA, Mexico) and Manufacturing to coordinate the communication and team work to meet and improve Quality indicators; responsible to drive plant actions. - Protect the Customer thru effective plant containments, inspection and checks; determine and set campaigns for critical or risky problems including PRI’s request, plant conference call representation, validate inspection procedures, repair procedures, suspect engines control, establish clean points. - Manage Engineering changes process, validate parts thru PER (Product Evaluation Request) prior final approval, CN (Change Request) plant implementation, team integration, final implementation follow up. - Lead the Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis Process for Product issues impacting the KPI´s using formal techniques (Green Belt, Black Belt, Kepner & Tregoe, etc.) and WCM methodologies; determining issue responsibility whether Process, Supplier or Design. - Participate in the MY Launch process or new products launch, supporting plant builds in pilot phases; responsible to develop and execute Plant Quality Plan to track the quality performance of pilots build to identify and to solve any Engineering responsibility issue impacting plant KPI during this phases. - Support the plant during the MY launch or new products Launch to obtain and understand Engineering information and documentation affecting the plant operations (Engineering Standards, IAA’s, Team Center and Action Letters). - Identify and initiate temporary product deviations to resolve Customer, Manufacturing or Supplier concerns thru TSA/IAA. - Identify Engineering Responsibility issues impacting Functional audits; lead resolution using Corporate Standard GIM process to document root cause, interim and permanent corrective actions. - Support the proactive Quality thru PFMEA and Control Plan for significant MY, running change or new products launches. - Lead the customer satisfaction through the issues tracking in Quality Matrix developing Kaizen projects with corrective actions implemented in timely manner. - Participate in “Best Practice” sharing and collaboration between plants/platforms. - Support Process/Manufacturing to identify processes that are not capable and formulate an action plan (as team) to bring improvement initiatives into platform meetings or board review meetings. - Support Plant MQAS documentation, certification and audit programs as required. - Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and activities (workshops, problem-solving teams, process studies, parts analysis, quality control systems, etc.). - Identify non-conformance to corporate requirements such as PS, MS, MQGR; continuously seeking for appropriate variability reduction/complexity reduction plans through recommendations to modify processes, design and/or tooling. - Seek for Error/Mistake proofing processes, components, devices to guarantee zero risks. - Make sure torque specifications are well implemented and follow up in all machining or assembly stations, lead action plan to correct deviations found.
