EHS Supervisor

**Company Description**
**Job Description** SUMMARY: May serve as the facility EHS Lead or serve as an EHS Staff member.**

**REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES**:Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include all or some of the following, a combination of the following, but are not limited to**:

- Implements and Integrates Company EHS programs and develops facility specific procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory and Company policies.
- Actively participates in development of EHS program components: operational procedure, work instructions, training material, standards, etc.
- Requirements include integration of environmental, health and safety management systems with engineering and program documentation and schedules to maintain regulatory compliance and safe operating conditions.
- Reduce liability within a facility and ensure all safety and environmental recommendations are completed and documented
- Use ELS methodology to drive improvements in Environmental and Safety programs. Engineer solutions to occupational exposures. Drive continuous improvement and deliver strong results from behavioral based processes.
- Evaluates new environmental, health and safety technologies and processes to develop strategies and tactics for reducing workplace and operational hazards and environmental impacts.
- Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing work supervised.
- Sets team priorities; provides input on resource planning and policy development.
- Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the team and responsible for team leadership. Also acts as a resource for the team, provide training/ coaching to the work of the team.
- Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
- Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
- Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
- Applies advanced skills to the position or specialization.
- Assigned larger and more complex tasks than an EHS Specialist I.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
- Project Management Oriented, Solution Oriented, Goal Oriented, Technical

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Environmental Engineering / Science or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of EHS experience with progressive work assignments. Advanced professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, REM etc.) desired.
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures and programs.
- Experience in life safety codes: EHS rules, HAZOP, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and Industrial hygiene.
- Good Project/Problem Resolution skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong leadership skills and good interpersonal communications.
- Strong coaching, facilitating and training skills.
