The EHS Coordinator manage all activities related to environmental, health and safety, establishing norms and policies, developing plans and programs, supervising technical-administrative processes execution according to area, mainly with a permanent purpose to assure safety operations, and according to law and corporate policies and principles.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

The duties listed below are intended only as examples of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.

Asses, establish and implement EHS programs according to national standards and corporate requirements

Plan, lead and supervise audits and safety patrols to detect unsafe conditions, besides safety committee

Conduct accidents investigations, with area responsible and employees involved to determine root causes and determine an action plan for corrective actions

Register and monitoring of EHS metrics

To provide training to safety brigades, and general EHS training to all employees

Be a contact person with EHS federal and state government authorities, providing information required, and legal requirements compliance

Develop risk map, job risk analysis, to implement actions plans to improve safety

To provide safety training to contractors, and supervise their work

Environmental permissions management required from local authorities

Implementation and follow up of EHS plan, in compliance with national standards and UEI corporate requirements

Responsible to lead and supervise security service, and to assure building and installations security

Comply with C-TPAT requirements certification, and train employees involved with this certification

To communicate EHS responsibilities to all levels in UEM organization

To keep clean restrooms, cafeteria, and installations

Lead and conduct safety drills and simulations

**Responsibilities for Integral management system**

To actively participate on Integral management system audits

**Formal Education & Certification**

BS in Engineering, administration

Master’s degree in environmental engineering, or Safety

**Knowledge & Experience**
- + 5 years EHS experience
- Knowledge on law, rules, and regulations on EHS
- Safety programs development, policies and procedures
- Ergonomics
- Legal compliance on EHS matters, dangerous waste disposal, and accidents investigation
- Office
