Junior Security Analyst

**Location**: Mexico (Remote/Work-from-Home)

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Junior Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. As a Junior Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting security operations, monitoring security events, and assisting in incident response activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 1 to 3 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity to further develop their skills and contribute to a dynamic remote work environment.

**Responsibilities**:
Monitor security events and alerts using security tools and technologies, identifying potential security incidents and escalating them to the appropriate teams.
Assist in incident response activities, including initial investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
Conduct regular security log analysis, vulnerability assessments, and network traffic monitoring to identify potential security vulnerabilities or anomalies.
Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of security operations processes, tools, and technologies.
Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and industry developments, and actively participate in professional development activities to expand knowledge and skills.
Collaborate with senior security analysts and other cybersecurity teams to investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing the impact on business operations.
Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, investigation findings, and remediation steps.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
1 to 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably in a security operations center (SOC) or a similar environment.
Basic knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
Familiarity with security monitoring tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems), and endpoint protection platforms.
Understanding of security incident response procedures and best practices.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly assess and prioritize security risks.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
