RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work together with suppliers to develop and implement best practices on defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste.
- Manage Supplier’s product and process evaluation regarding to the compliance according to the requirements of BW and our Customers.
- Manage and coordinate supplier on PPM improvement, problem solving, cost recovery due to quality issues and supplier warranty indicators,
- Report on KPIs in order to adhere to BorgWarner ETTS goals.
JOB PROFILE & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical degree and experience.
- Desirable minimum 5 years of experience in technical quality support, interaction with different levels of management of clients.
- Desirable minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive, Automotive Systems, or technical field is required.
- Able to demonstrate ability to navigate complex organizational matrix and effective communication skills.
- Trained Auditor (IATF16949 preferred)
- Strong understanding and experience of working to IATF16949 and ISO9000 standards.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of core quality tools including Process control plans, process flow diagrams, FMEA, MSA, SPC. (preferred)
- Product and process knowledge of Manufacturing to Automotive tolerances (preferred).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (preferred).
- Availability to travel.
- Proficient, experienced and knowledgeable APQP processes and PPAP requirements. (preferred)
- Strong Statistical and analytical proficiency. (Desirable)
- Proficient of automotive problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa analysis, Six Sigma, etc.) required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical software such as Minitab, Infinity, or, equivalent system.
