**Purpose of the position**

The **Medical** Manager (MM)** is a member of the affiliate medical department. The role is **_defined by 70_**_% office base work _**_activities_** with scientific, clinical and therapeutic area expertise who is responsible for supporting, on a non-promotional basis, medical and scientific initiatives **_for marketed products._**

**MM** interacts with HCPs and other associated medical groups (Medical societies, Patient groups associations), to exchange and discuss scientific, clinical and economic information of relevance to their professional interest. **MM** works in coordination with the rest of the medical unit and non-medical units (Access, Marketing, Regulatory) to meet Ipsen objectives.

**MM** has the responsibility to develop and implement the medical annual plan according to Ipsen also will identify local opportunities, using his/her network of contacts, knowledge of therapeutic areas.

**_ As a consequence the medical manager _**CORE ACTIVITIES** are listed below:
Act in an advisory capacity for scientific/medical content in the development of internal medical and marketing strategies Ensure the yearly medical plan construction and on time execution measured by clearly defined KPI´s. Provide scientific support for activities initiated by Marketing and Sales that may be of a promotional nature including: Develop and/or review of materials presenting disease
- or on label product related information Provide patients flow of area of interest Develop scientific medical slides for internal training purposes and carry out medical training of Ipsen employees Participate in a medical capacity in advisory boards initiated by other functions

Ensure the execution of high level scientific events during national congresses or internal meetings Keep updated the main regulatory documents as: IPP, Clinical dossiers, Patients leaflet. Ensure strong understanding and control of internal processes with regards HCPs interactions, review and approval of promotional and non-promotional materials. Provide scientific support to patient advocacy related activities Provide support to the logistics and preparation of publication content in line with Ipsen procedures and international guidelines of good clinical practices Liaise with payers in the delivery of non-promotional scientific presentations Demonstrate strong budgetary accountability with regards to planned activities Carry out AD HOC follow-up interaction in response to clinical and scientific inquiries Ensure his /her own training using Ipsen E-learning platforms Keep updated a medical profiling data base of HCP´s & TL´s in compliance with Ipsen rules Proactively support HCPs and Ipsen Clinical Operations Departments in evaluating potential clinical research sites and investigators for Ipsen-Sponsored Studies
- The **Medical Manager **is expected to comply with all Ipsen SOPs, policies, directive and relevant national guidelines
- Achieve the communication of medical and educational objectives set for the assigned products/indications, within the framework of IPSEN’s national strategy**_ (Operational Plan)._**:

- Develop, maintain and support professional relationships with internal and external customers (e.g., Key Thought Leaders [KTL], Health Care Professionals [HCPs], and Formulary Decision Makers.
- Facilitate informational, educational, and research activities for physicians and ancillary healthcare professionals regarding IPSEN’s current and pipeline therapies.
- Ensure that the scientific and technical needs of Medical Affairs, regulatory affairs and commercial colleagues are identified and met working closely with other IPSEN personnel
