**Job Summary**:
Tax analyst is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns and tax forms; and is also responsible for ensuring that an organization pays the right amount of taxes and are in compliance with local, state, and federal tax reporting obligations.. Tax analyst prepares returns and review documents, check for accuracy and completion, and is responsible for filing a completed return before federal or state tax deadlines. Also this position will be responsible for supporting the VAT refund processes.

**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:

- Assist with responding to tax inquiries from various jurisdictions, but especially Mexico, since tax analyst will be mainly working on Mexican side. | 5%
- Analysis and review of the Federal estimated tax payment | 5%
- Prepare, review and submit indirect taxes (VAT) returns and related filings | 15%
- Recommend process improvements to help improve efficiencies for area of responsibility. | 5%
- Provide internal and external audit and compliance support, including data analysis, etc. | 10%
- Interact with accounting, finance and line of business personnel on a continual basis for information relating to the above. | 5%
- Create and update user guide, process flow charts, development plans, and operating procedures. | 5%
- Support the VAT refund process by coordinating with other areas, gathering information, preparing writs as well any other procedure necessary for this process | 30%
- Prepare the tax reconciliations for SOX purposes as needed. | 20%

**Skills and Minimum Experience Required**:

- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Analytical thinking
- Good communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Good technical knowledge

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- Degree in Accounting (Taxation)
- Experience in maquila industry or manufacturing companies
