**The Company**
Torex Gold Resources Inc. is an intermediate gold producer engaged in the exploration, development and operation of our wholly-owned Morelos Property, an area of 29,000-hectares in the highly prospective Guerrero Gold Belt located 180 kilometers southwest of Mexico City. The Company is based in Canada, with our Corporate Office located in Toronto, Ontario. Torex is currently the second-largest gold producer in Mexico.
The Company’s mining asset is the Morelos Complex, which includes the El Limón Guajes (“ELG”) Mining Complex, the Media Luna Project, a processing plant and related infrastructure. Commercial production from the ELG Mining Complex began in April 2016, and the Company’s Media Luna project, located 7 kilometers south of the ELG Complex, is currently under construction with commercial production expected to begin in 2025.
Torex’s key strategic objectives are to extend and optimize production from the ELG Mining Complex, de-risk and advance the Media Luna Project to commercial production, build on ESG excellence, and grow organically through ongoing exploration across the entire Morelos Property and through potential value accretive M&A.

**The Job**
In the role of General Manager, Operations, you will be reporting to the Senior Vice President, Mexico at Media Luna Project site. In this role, the individual will be supported by an on-site team of operational departments. The departments reporting to this role will be Processing Plant, Technical Services, Mine Operations, and Process Improvement.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, Civil or Industrial Engineering
- Master or Postgraduate Degree in Operations Management, Mining Management, Project Management or Construction,
- Advanced level of Spanish/English
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at all levels
- Excellent communicator
- Organized, methodical, planner, conveys values to the team based on the Values Continua scale
**Work Experience**
- 15 years of operational mining work experience
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Manager of Operations or Technical Services
- Experience in evaluating and standardizing internal processes
- Experience in medium and long term mine planning
- High safety standards related to industry practices
- Proven operational process planning and scheduling skills
**Responsibilities**
**Safety, Health, and Environment**:
- Creates a culture that values safety and compliance with the 4-Phase Safety System.
- Monitors the implementation of the SafeStart program and addresses gaps and risks.
- Oversees and monitors compliance with environmental laws and current environmental impact and land-use change authorizations.
- Oversees and monitors the effective implementation and compliance with the International Cyanide Code.
***Strategy and Financial Management**:
- Works with corporate departments to define and prioritize site strategic objectives.
- Develops department objectives encompassing the Plant, Technical Services, Mines, Production Planning and Process Improvement departments, ensuring overall outcomes of objectives support the achievement of site’s overall strategic objectives.
- Manages the overall timing and delivery of objectives within the Operations departments.
- Manages financial implications of mining results by balancing finances between Plant, Technical Services, Mines and Process Improvement departments.
- Manages overall financial results by balancing finances between Plant, Technical Services, Mines, Production Planning and Process Improvement departments.
- Makes prudent decisions regarding expenditures that effectively balance cost and impact to overall financial results.
**Operations and Resource Management**:
- Accountable for management of the Morelos property’s operations mine planning.
- Accountable for the overall management and achievement of operational plans within Plant, Technical Services, Mines, Production Planning and Process Improvement departments.
- Manages overall site production expectations, ensuring results meet requirements within the LOM plan.
- Approves mine plans and resource model developed by the MTS team ensuring the plans are developed in accordance with guidance provided.
- Reviews and validates Plant production and maintenance plans.
- Analyzes underlying problems to determine if there are systemic issues with existing systems that are impacting operations.
- Ensures compliance with organizational regulations and standards.
