**Position Summary**:
Feedinfo is looking for an analyst/news reporter based remotely.

The analyst/news reporter will report to the Principal Analyst and work closely with colleagues in the UK, France, and the US.

AgriBriefing has a flexible working policy, with office-based employees being expected to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.

The role will require occasional travelling.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Build and maintain good relationships within the industry through phone conversations, industry events, and face-to-face meetings.
- Engage daily with industry participants (traders, producers, buyers, and distributors) about the markets you cover.
- Be eager to learn and foster knowledge of market fundamentals, the supply chain, end-uses, and key participants to generate representative price assessments and world-class content. Industry training will be available and an eagerness to learn is essential.
- Collect pricing data and assess prices in line with our methodology and IOSCO principles.
- Assist colleagues in other regions to provide cover and consistency for the market and build up a wider knowledge base of these globally traded products.
- Assist the team with subediting and reviewing prices to verify the methodology has been followed, prices are representative of market input, and good editorial judgement has been applied.
- Write twice-weekly market commentaries for multiple products.
- Be part of the Feedinfo analyst and editorial teams, providing support to other members of the team and covering relevant news, insight articles and interviews as and when required.
- Handle questions from contacts and customers.
- Help foster Feedinfo’s expertise and raise its profile by participating in podcasts, presentations, events, industry meetings, and promoting the company on social media.
- Respond effectively to breaking news. Keeping an eye on industry trends and concerns. Identify and plan content, write and edit news and interviews.
- Bring key news stories or issues to the attention of the wider team to enable them to be covered in greater depth where appropriate.
- Interview industry executives in the Latin America region.
- Cultivate industry sources and contacts with existing companies, broaden geographical reach and discover new companies/technologies in the Americas region.
- Travel/network/report at Feedinfo and industry events, keeping an eye on events in the region.
- Assist analyst and editorial team as needed with market queries and research.
- Support the company’s strategy of delivering information/data which assists users and becomes embedded in their workflows.
- Coordinate with analyst/editorial teams and Feedinfo sales teams in terms of networking and new business opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience of working for an IOSCO-compliant PRA is desirable but not essential.
- Good command of the English and Spanish languages, both written and spoken, is a must. Portuguese would also be useful for the role.
- An interest in understanding the agriculture, feed additive and animal protein industries.
- Strong networking and communication skills; confident telephone manner; ability to conduct in-person interviews with business executives.
- People skills to answer queries about prices and news coverage.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with discipline and enthusiasm and take the initiative to cover stories and find and confirm information.
- Business writing experience with the ability to source and write business news stories; critical thinking skills; able to work to tight daily deadlines.
- Team player who contributes to an excellent working culture and acts with integrity in a courteous and professional manner.
- Curiosity to expand market knowledge and commitment to join in projects and take part in training.
- Ability to work with numbers, data, and spreadsheets, and produce analytical editorial copy.
