Overview of role

Subsea 7 has an exciting opportunity for a Software Development Engineer within the Central Engineering Team based in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities
- Coordinate with disciplines and / or projects to understand the SharePoint site functionality needs.
- Provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in developing SharePoint site fit for purpose and meeting the global Subsea7 requirements
- Coordinate with multi
- engineering disciplines to understand developments needs and program flowchart logic. Advise on programming options and suggest most efficient fit for purpose technical solution.
- Provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in writing, testing, debugging and finalizing effective and scalable codes. Code must be well documented, working with APIs and communicating in an efficient manner.
- Provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in version control using Git.
- Coordinate with IT Teams to implement solutions.
- Undertake responsibility for supporting multi
- Actively participate in relevant training to pursue continuing professional development.

Person Specification

Professional qualifications - Degree qualified in (Demonstrable experience in a similar role will also be considered)
- Working knowledge of SharePoint sites
- Working knowledge of Python official multiprocessing package
- PEP 8
- Git
- Working knowledge of Excel and VBA
- Working knowledge of one popular Python web framework (Django or Flask, for example)
- Working knowledge with SQL
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and HTML5
- Produces work of presentable quality Core Python, including object-orientation programing
- Basic Data Analysis knowledge (Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, seaborn) is desirable
- Basic knowledge of Power Bi is desirable

Awareness of end user need, team spirit.

Able to work within time / budget constraints

Present self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
