We are looking for a proficient **Senior Database Administrator** who specializes in Cassandra and Redis to become an integral part of our team.

This individual will be tasked with overseeing and enhancing our database systems, ensuring the integrity of the data, and sustaining a secure and optimized data environment. The role demands comprehensive knowledge of database infrastructure and an ability to thrive in a dynamic work atmosphere.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Estimate data sizing and hardware requirements for DB clusters based on data and transaction projections
- Set up, establish, and adjust DB clusters
- Keep track of cluster performance and availability through specific tools
- Export data into various formats
- Develop strategies for data backup and restoration to improve system security
- Optimize JVM, caches, and compaction performance
- Execute stress checks on clusters and evaluate performance results

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 3+ years of experience in engineering and deploying Cassandra/NoSQL database systems
- Proficiency in Cassandra Data Modeling, NoSQL Architecture, including Keyspace, Table, Index, User creation, and access management
- Expertise in understanding Cassandra's core mechanisms such as gossip protocol, hinted handoffs, read repairs, and Merkle trees
- Qualifications in Cassandra cluster management, upkeep, and support utilizing Opscenter, Devcenter, Linux, and Spark
- Understanding of CQL Queries and their integration with Cassandra clusters
- Flexibility to handle basic CI/CD pipeline configurations
- Experience in setting up, installing, and configuring Redis clusters, and supervising Redis processes
- Hands-on skills with Redis Data model, commands, and data management practices, including replication and snapshots
- Insights into Redis performance tuning related to memory and CPU usage
- Skills in managing Redis scalability, implementing vertical or horizontal scaling methods
- Background in backup and restoration procedures in Redis
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services such as Elastic Compute, S3, and IAM

NICE TO HAVE
- Background in DSE, AWS services, and managing Cassandra database on AWS cloud
- Good knowledge of Linux and Java settings
- Proficiency in integrating with Solr and Spark
- Understanding of Jenkins, Gitlab CI, and Team City as automation and CI/CD tools
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Python capabilities
