**_What Supply Chain Planning contributes to Cardinal Health_**
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Supply Chain Planning is responsible for ensuring the right quantity of products arrive in the right place, at the right time and cost. This job family is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning, supply planning, deployment planning, inventory planning, collaborative planning, expediting, purchasing and the design and implementation of the supply chain network. Supply Chain Planning utilized supplier contracts and manufacturing parameters to exceed customer service level commitments while optimizing supply chain costs and inventory. Supply Chain Planning leverages technology to achieve best in class processes to position supply chain as a competitive advantage.

- Expert planning knowledge as well as superior communication and leadership skills are key to succeeding in this role.
- Ability to work with and present to internal and external senior leadership.
- Manage high volume of data files and communicate with internal and external customers.
- Collaborative leadership, as well as strategic and innovative thinking is required to be successful.
- Works on complex projects and provides suggestions, guidance and/or solutions.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of universally accepted inventory management concepts and applicable SOPs.
- Various reporting and ad-hoc analysis in addition to special projects.
- Work independently to identify problematic trends and determines the best sources of data for pinpointing the problem and effectively lead the coordination and resolution of those issues.
- Collaborates with others and builds strategic alliances globally; negotiates to build broad based support and/or persuades others in order to influence important outcomes.
- Ensures that customers have a positive experience, commits to meet or exceed customer expectations and hold customer responsible for commitments.
- Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives.
- Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Qualifications_**
- 4-8 years of experience, preferred.
- BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field. Advance Degree, preferred.

**Anticipated Salary Range**: $57,000 - $81,000
