**Role and Responsibilities**

The Manager of the Operations Engineering team is responsible for managing and guiding the team responsible for the fulfillment of technical asset management contracts for solar and storage projects, providing engineering consulting services, and engineering support for solar and storage project operations.

**Responsibilities include**:
**Oversee the fulfillment of the technical requirements of the Asset Management contracts by direct reports including**:

- Evaluation of technical performance of client sites
- Identify data and performance issues and recommendations for improvement
- Oversee Operations and Maintenance providers and provide technical feedback and support
- Track equipment and data outages and take steps to reduce frequency and duration
- Analysis and feedback on spares strategy
- Root cause analysis and problem resolution
- Monthly reporting of site performance metrics

***Development of storage technical asset management services including**:

- Evaluation of energy storage contracts to determine relevant KPIs and other metrics
- Design of energy storage charts and tables to implement into Lens (Radian’s Asset Management software)
- Determine relevant requirements and metrics to track O&M provider performance and adherence to manufacturer’s warranty requirements
- Provide technical support and training to other TAM team members on energy storage

**Consulting services including**:

- Drawing and design review
- Construction and commissioning consulting services
- Performance analysis of underperforming sites

**Engineering guidance and support including**:

- Engineering support on repowering projects
- Evaluation and recommendation of equipment replacements for out of manufacture items
- Evaluation and recommendations for module replacements
- Evaluation and recommendations on relay settings

**Other responsibilities**:

- Leads creation of new standard operating procedures
- Drafts and review technical analyses, reports and presentations to internal and external audiences
- Mentorship and coaching to engineers on the technical asset management team
- Initiate process improvement and implement within the team
- Additional duties as assigned.

**Preferred Experience**
- 6 + years of solar / renewable energy experience preferred
- Management or leadership experience preferred
- Experience working for a U.S based company is preferred.

**Required Qualification & Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related energy field from a four-year university
- 6 + years of experience in power generation industry (solar / renewable energy experience preferred)

**Required Skills & Competencies**

Edits work for accuracy and clarity, is able to create, read, and interpret complex written information. Ability to develop strong interpersonal networks within the organization. Experience reviewing project agreements & terms, with the ability to identify material terms a plus.
- Strong proficiency in speaking and writing English.

- **Technology**: Proficient in the use of Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Prepares and / or provides ad hoc reports for executive management use.
