As a **Staff Accountant** at MAP, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations for our clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting. You will work closely with the accounting and operations teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial information. This is a remote position, so strong communication and time management skills are essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** General Ledger Management**: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- ** Accounts Payable and Receivable**: Process invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate posting of transactions.
- ** Bank Reconciliations**: Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- ** Financial Reporting**: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- ** Month-End and Year-End Closing**: Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including adjusting journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- ** Compliance and Audits**: Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as local regulations. Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
- ** Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and recommend solutions for efficiency.

Experiência y requisitos

**Qualifications**:

- College degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - or equivalent experience
- Preferably 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (in English)
