**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Position Summary**:
Logistics manager key roles & responsibilities are to organize the storage and distribution of goods by standardizing all warehouse activities to the seven steps identified in the KPS Logistics Pillar guide. Essentially the Logistics Manager ensures the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost.

**Essential Functions**:

- Drive the warehouse operations to a world class facility by using the KPS Logistic Pillar seven elements as the primary guide to ensure the success of the implementation.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with PSA requirements associated with warehousing, material handling, and receiving requirements and enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by adhering to departmental annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Follow up and control over-time
- Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse administration.
- Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members
- Knows and communicates the need for product safety.
- As well performs all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

**Management & Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- Job is responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

**Knowledge**:

- Must have a strong material management background with key focus on logistics and inventory control.
- Knowledge of Six-Sigma tools and processes. Greenbelt certification a plus
- Knowledge of braking products and commodities a plus
- SAP knowledge required.
- Microsoft proficient. Strong Microsoft Excel skills a must.

**Experience**:

- 1-3 Years’ Experience within manufacturing and production environments

**Skills**:

- Demonstrated leadership and development skills with strong influence/interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills required
- Innovated self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to drive thoughts into actionable tasks/projects with follow-up while establishing credibility and trust.
- Ability to multitask
- Policy writing and capabilities.
- Bi-lingual Spanish and English required

**Education/Certifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Supply Chain Excellence (WMS/Logistics)
- APICS Certification (CPIM, CIRM) a plus
